An Intervention Center Classroom |
The Intervention Center |
The Intervention Center is located in rear of the School Board Office in what used to be the Palmyra Elementary School. The Center consists of four classrooms, a staff of six teachers, and a lead teacher. Students enrolled in the Intervention Center arrive at the High School in the morning and then are brought to the Intervention Center by bus. The daily schedule consists of four, 90-minute blocks of instruction, with lunch and breaks built into the schedule. At the end of the day, students are transported back to the High School to catch their buses back home. Students may also be dropped off or picked up in the back of the building during the normal pick-up and drop-off times (8:10 to 8:20 or 3:00 to 3:10). If you are bringing in a student late or picking them up early, please report to the front office. Students in the Intervention Center may take the core subjects: Math, English, Science, and Social Studies. In addition, they may take a few electives. |
