Senior Year Plus.

On Friday, March 5, six Fluvanna County High School students, who are currently attending Charlottesville-Albemarle Technical Center (CATEC), placed in their respective competitions in the District SkillsUSA competitions.  First place winners will be traveling to Hampton, VA at the end of April to compete in state competitions.

 

Olivia Winston, Culinary– Commercial Baking- 1st

Margaret Bell, Culinary– Community Service– 1st

Michelle Gregory, Cosmetology– Occupational Scrapbook– 1st

Latasha Young, Cosmetology– Occupational Scrapbook– 2nd

Kierra Woodson, Cosmetology– Occupational Scrapbook– 2nd

Chelsea Foster, Cosmetology– Occupational Scrapbook– 4th

At the recent Regional Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) conference, six students earned 2nd place finishes and will advance to state competition in Reston on April 16-17.  Congratulations to all of the students and the business teachers.  The business teachers are Harriett Parrish, Christine Kreitzman, and Darren McCauley.
