Student Announcements PAUL BRAGG SCHOLARSHIP FUND This year $85,000 will be given to graduating seniors from Fluvanna County High School to attend a 4 year college, community college or technical school. The girl’s team beat actually crushed both Courtland High school and Spotsylvania High School on Friday. The girls place first in nine out of 12 events. Top finishers included - Chelsea Tomko, Michelle Caron, Kate McIver, Riley Scalzo, Kasey Hartman, Bailey Binger, Johnnie Hiruman, Laura Neeley, Alex Tomko, and Maria Arroyo. Top personal times were also met by Andre Bleher, Becky Burgess, Emily Nador and Cat Arnold. The boy’s team also beat Spotsylvania High School. They were led by Captain Justin Hartwell with numerous first place finishes. Personal bests were met by Cody Davis Meadows, Graham Banton, Justin Wood, Robert Thompson, and Casey Cagel. The team's next meet is this Thursday at 7:30 at FUMA against Orange Co High School. Come out and support your Fluco swimmers. WRESTLING The Fluco wrestlers traveled to Spotswood High School last night. The Flucos defeated the Trailblazer wrestlers 34-25. To finish the night the matmen took on Powerful Broadway High School. They fell hard 10-65. The wrestlers travel Saturday to Louisa for the Dave Wells Memorial Tournament. Come and support them! Tony recently auditioned, and was given a spot in the 7 time World Champions, the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from Rosemont, Illinois. The Cavaliers are a corps rich in history, beginning as a Boy Scout troop in 1948. Today, the Cavaliers (nicknamed the Green Machine) are one of the best marching units on earth. Tony will join 145 young men from all over the globe who will perform in the Cavaliers' 60th anniversary production entitled Samurai.
