Health and Physical Education

HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION 9 - Students are introduced to a variety of physical activities ranging from team sports to individual exercise.  From the first day of class students are required to participate in all activities.  A second aspect of this class is Health Education which covers the areas of disease, mental health awareness, first aid and family life education.  A minimum of 40% of the class must be devoted to health topics.  FCHS uniforms are required.

HEALTH, DRIVER EDUCATION, AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION 10 - Students will build upon those skills developed in Health and Physical Education I.  Classroom Driver Education composes a minimum of 36 hours of this course.  This component of the class prepares the student to obtain a Driver’s License from the State of Virginia.  Drug and alcohol education is also a part of the instruction in this class.  This class may be taken only after the successful completion of Health and Physical Education 9. FCHS uniform required.
