Many opportunities will be provided for staff members to attend workshops and take the TSIP assessments. If you feel you are competent in a particular area, download the TSIP assessment from this web site and review it. If you are able to perform the assessment - then you will only need to attend a competency assessment session. If you feel that you could use some help with some of the requirements, then check this web site frequently to stay up to date on workshop schedules. If you see a workshop and/or assessment session that you would like to attend - please follow the listed directions to register. You may register for sessions other than those in your own school. In order to provide individual assistance, space is limited in all sessions. If you show up without registering, it is likely that you will not be allowed to participate. Note that some dates are not training - but rather opportunities to take assessments only. Do not expect individual tutoring on these dates. Additionally, each workshop requires your full participation. If you are more than 10 minutes late or leave more than 10 minutes early, for any reason, you will not receive the recertification allowed for the workshop. Attendees at either workshops or assessment sessions may not bring children or others to the session. For the most part, the people conducting these workshops are your colleagues - PLEASE don't put them on the spot by asking that these rules be compromised. Most workshops will last 1.5 hours and recertification will be awarded as one point for each clock hour of the workshop. No recertification points will be awarded for the time used to complete the TSIP assessments. *NOTE: Workshops and assessment sessions conducted at elementary schools will use Macintosh computers. Those conducted at the middle and high schools will use the PC platform. Workshops & Assessments
