MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Fluvanna County Public Schools is to provide quality education whereby all students acquire the skills, knowledge, and values necessary to develop into responsible and productive citizens of the twenty-first century.

The vision of the high school is represented by the words of our Principal, Mr. James Barlow:

"TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN."

WELCOME MESSAGE

Dear Student:

WELCOME! We take this opportunity to welcome all students to Fluvanna County High School. We hope that you will find this school year to be memorable and rewarding. Cooperation is, of course, the key. Toward that end, we suggest that you read this handbook thoroughly. It makes you aware of what we expect of you and what services and benefits you may expect from your school.

We encourage all students to become actively involved in the educational program in our school. Whether curricular, athletic, or co-curricular activities, the success of any program is dependent upon your cooperative participation. These activities provide you with the opportunity to develop physically, emotionally, and intellectually to your maximum potential.

Take pride in your school as you have a stake in its future. Support our traditions and requirements. Let all of us do our very best to create a special school spirit.

May this year be the most rewarding of your high school experience. GO FLUCOS!

Sincerely,
FCHS Administration, Faculty, and Staff
