Our Mission: The mission of Fluvanna County Public Schools is to provide quality education whereby all students acquire the skills, knowledge, and values necessary to develop into responsible and productive citizens of the twenty-first century.
The Fluvanna County School Board holds its regular meetings on the second Wednesday of each month in the Board Room of the School Board Office (located in the Old Palmyra School on Route 15). Unless otherwise noted, meetings begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. with a closed session. Public session begins promptly at 7 p.m.

· May 17, 2010– Called Meeting at 5:30 p.m. for the purposes of discussing the search for a new Superintendent, appointing an acting Superintendent, and holding a closed meeting for discussion of personnel matters.
· May 13, 2010– Called Meeting at 5:30 p.m. for the purpose of reviewing the Superintendent Criteria Survey results.
· May 12, 2010– Public hearing on the Superintendent Criteria at 7:30 p.m.
· April 26, 2010– Called Meeting at 5 p.m.
· April 19, 2010– Called Meeting at 9 a.m.
· March 30, 2010- Budget Work Session 6 p.m. Closed meeting after the work session for the purpose of discussing employee matters.
· March 17, 2010– Joint Meeting of the Board of Supervisors and the School Board
· March 10, 2010– Updated Board Packet with handouts.
· March 4, 2010– Budget Work Session 5—6:50 p.m. Closed meeting at 7 p.m. for the purpose of discussing student matters.
· March 1, 2010– Budget Work Session at 5 p.m.
· February 10, 2010 rescheduled for February 18– Updated Board Packet with handouts.
· January 15, 2010– Board Work Session– Presentations from the Work Session can be found on the Strategic Initiatives and Budget web sites.
· January 13, 2010– Updated Board Packet with handouts.
