Wednesday, October 16 is Unity Day, when we remind ourselves and our community of the importance of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and we unite to prevent bullying. WEAR ORANGE in support of Unity Day on Wednesday, October 16. Combine your creativity with our Homecoming Theme of Twin Day and be doubly unified by dressing in the same orange styles as a friend. On Unity Day, make an extra effort to: Offer a kind hello to someone new Do a favor or help someone you’ve never helped before Help a classmate who could use some encouragement Include someone new in a game or lunch today Thank someone for being kind Come up with your own idea for a kind gesture! Stop by the Unity Day table during lunch to visit with school counselors and get a free Unity Day gift. Remember, all it takes are simple acts of kindness to make our community stronger, and you can take that step today . . . . right now, and on Unity Day 2024.

The 2024/2025 Athletic Registration page is now live for FMS and FCHS! A couple things of note, there is an actual Physicals Form Page now (Step 4) and a physical date is a required field. All new Physicals must be dated after May 1st, 2024, and would be valid through June 30th, 2025. Athletes need to be registered on the site and physicals need to be uploaded prior to any participation with school athletics (workouts, tryouts, etc.). This is a new initiative spearheaded by FCHS Athletics and will be followed throughout all Fluvanna County Public School athletics (FMS and FCHS). If there are questions, please reach out to your respective coaches or: FOR FMS: Marcus Carter, FMS Athletic Director – marcusc@apps.fluco.org Keith Brown, FMS Assistant Athletic Director – kebrown@apps.fluco.org FOR FCHS: D. Scott Morris, FCHS Activities Director – scmorris@apps.fluco.org Jason Barnett, FCHS Assistant Athletic Director – jbarnett@apps.fluco.org
