Profile of a FLUCO Graduate

The Fluvanna Profile of a Graduate represents the knowledge, skills, and mindsets every student should develop before leaving Fluvanna County Public Schools. Grounded in the division’s commitment to maximize the potential of every FLUCO, the profile describes graduates who are prepared, empowered, and purposeful as they move into college, careers, and life.

At the center of the profile is the FLUCO identity, surrounded by six essential qualities. A Fluvanna graduate is a critical thinker who uses evidence, solves problems, and perseveres through challenges. They are an innovative creator who embraces new ideas, takes responsible risks, and designs meaningful solutions. They are also a collaborative leader who values diverse perspectives, builds positive relationships, and leads with integrity and empathy. As an effective communicator, a FLUCO graduate expresses ideas clearly, listens to understand, and uses digital tools responsibly. As an engaged citizen, they demonstrate respect, serve their community, and appreciate different cultures and viewpoints. Finally, they are a future-ready learner who applies academic knowledge to real-world situations, explores careers connected to their strengths and interests, adapts to change, and remains committed to lifelong learning.

These qualities are built upon Virginia’s Five C’s: critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, communication, and citizenship. Together, they reflect Fluvanna County Public Schools’ vision for graduates who are ready for college, ready for careers, ready for life, and ready to make a difference. The infographic reinforces that this work is shared across one community, united by one vision and inspired by endless possibilities.
