Fluvanna County School Nursing has collaborated with Jefferson Pharmacy - The pharmacy, located in Palmyra outside of Lake Monticello, is now offering the required immunizations for rising 7th and 12th graders by appointment only. Check with your School Nurses to make sure your student is compliant with state required immunizations. Parents can schedule appointments for their children on the pharmacy's website at https://www.jeffersondrug.com/.

Fluvanna County School Board Vacancy Notice Fork Union District
The Fluvanna County School Board announces a vacancy resulting from the resignation of the Fork Union District representative, effective July 18, 2025. Qualified voters residing in the Fork Union District who are interested in being considered for appointment to the School Board are encouraged to apply.
Application Requirements: Applications must submit the following by 4:00 p.m. on August 1, 2025:
- A Letter of Interest (not to exceed 300 words).
- 25 signatures from residents of the Fork Union District along with a notarized form from the Board of Elections .

- August 20, 2025 – Special Meeting: The School Board will hold a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. to announce the appointment of the new member for the Fork Union District.

They are looking for 15–20 adult volunteers to serve as role players during a hands-on emergency response simulation on:
📅 Sunday, July 13, 2025, 🕚 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM 📍 Fluvanna County High School
Volunteers will act as trauma victims (moulage makeup included!) and help bring realism to the evacuation phase of emergency care training for law enforcement and first responders.
🎭 No experience needed—just a willingness to participate and play along!
